Medical School in Australia for Canadian Pre-med Students

As applications to medical school continue to open, some students remain locked into studying in Canada. There are options outside of Canada including the US, Australia and the UK which also have great medical schools to select from. All international medical graduates (outside of the US) are required to write the MCCEE to obtain a residency position in Canada to practice. This exam is difficult, however Canadian medical schools are becoming more competitive each year, creating a push for students to apply abroad.

If you have considered applying abroad for medical school, there are multiple decisions to make including which country to study, which university to attend and your plan to return to Canada (or remain in the country you select). To assist with your decision, we have some resource videos below outlining student’s experience at Flinders University in Southern Australia.
