“Cost of Care” essay competition – deadline extended

Manveen majored in Genes, Genetics, and Biotechnology (HBSc, 2009) and graduated with high distinction before going to medical school (MD, 2013) at the University of Toronto. He then went on to complete residency training in Family Medicine at the same institution (CCFP, 2015). He is now pursuing a Master of Public Administration degree at the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston, Ontario.

Earlier this year, MDconsultants launched the “Cost of Care” Student Scholarship Essay Competition. Due to a high volume of students expressing interest, and a number of students expressing concern about completing their entries due to the holiday season, the essay submission deadline will be extended.

The new deadline to submit your entries is January 31, 2016. 

Grade 12 high school students and undergraduate students of any level are welcome to participate in the competition. The 500-word essay is to be written on the impact of cuts to physician funding on patient care in Ontario. For more details and a full list of requirements, please check here.
