Tiffany Wai is a first-year medical student at the University of British Columbia. She completed her Honours degree in Microbiology and Immunology with Co-op at UBC prior to entering medical school. During her undergraduate studies, Tiffany gained extensive research experience through various projects both within and beyond the classroom. She also served as an academic coach for Science students, helping them transition into university by sharing study strategies and time management skills. Tiffany is passionate about advocating for underserved members of her community. She received a $10,000 Connect to Community grant to launch a device loan program that provides costly and essential equipment to families affected by rare diseases. As a recent immigrant and a medical student who did not have the most conventional GPA or MCAT path, Tiffany is dedicated to mentoring premed students and empowering them to succeed by embracing their unique strengths and stories.
