Dr. Isabella Menchetti is an emergency medicine resident at the University of Ottawa. She plans to undertake a masters in medical education with a long-term goal of an academic EM career focused on postgraduate teaching and mentorship. Originally from Toronto, she undertook a 6 year medical school program between the University of St Andrews and University of Edinburgh, graduating in 2021. She therefore has extensive knowledge of IMG applications and the CaRMS process itself.
Dr. Menchetti’s research interests include gender equity, trauma care, and medical education. She has presented her work on a national scale and holds leadership roles within the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians, where she founded a mentorship program that connects female trainees and staff across Canada.
As former varsity athlete throughout medical school, Dr. Menchetti combines clinical excellence with leadership, academic strength, and a passion for supporting future physicians.
