After completing high school in Toronto, Dr. Iren Shabanova pursued direct-entry medical education in the UK, completing her Bachelor of Science Honours degree at the University of St. Andrews and her MBChB degree at the University of Edinburgh. She completed intern year in the Neurology residency program at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in NYC. She is passionate about preventative medicine, global health, and medical mentorship. In her free time, Iren loves to stay active, travel, spend quality time with her friends and her labradoodle called Sunny.
