Alexander Stavropoulos MD

Alexander Stavropoulos is an MS1 at the University of Toronto Temerty Faculty of Medicine passionate about the intersection of medicine and technology. In his undergraduate training at the University of Waterloo, Alexander pursued studies both in the life sciences and in the fields of artificial intelligence and health technology. UW was also the community in which he founded Lex Academy, his pro bono tutoring program for STEM students. After graduating with the Governor General’s Silver Academic Medal, Alexander continued to devote his efforts toward improving the health of his community through his work at the Patel Lab at the University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy, where he co-designed and developed a digital decision aid to support medication adherence in older adults. Meanwhile, teaching and peer mentorship remained core interestes of Alexander. Now accepted into 6 medical schools across Canada, he looks forward to sharing the insights and strategies he gained along the way to help others achieve their dreams.
