Jenna is currently a medical student at the University of Manitoba. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Manitoba, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Biochemistry with Distinction. She also did research in Cardiovascular Gene Biology at the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences. Outside of academics, she was an athlete for years, competing in volleyball and long-distance running. Her passion for health and wellness led her to become a fitness leader, specializing in teaching spin, boxing, HIIT, older adult fitness and more. She has a strong presence in her medical school student council, being a representative for athletics, surgery and OBGYN interest groups. Her involvement in the medical community continues through her roles as a CMA Ambassador, as well as a board member of the Manitoba Shared Health Patient Advisory Council. Jenna’s leadership roles and abilities are rooted in empowering others to achieve their goals, and is extremely passionate about being a tool to help students chase their dreams of being a doctor!
