Pontius is a Doctor of Dental Surgery candidate at the University of Toronto. After completing his Bachelor’s at Queen’s University, he went on to complete a research-based Master’s thesis at the Peter Gilgan Centre for Research and Learning. He was the recipient of the CIHR Frederick Banting and Charles Best Canada Graduate Scholarship as well as the SickKids Restracomp Scholarship. In the future, he aspires to be a practicing dentist and provide equitable oral healthcare to patients in the Greater Toronto Area.
