Andrew Wong is a current resident in Psychiatry at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, USA. He graduated from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada from the Bachelor of Medical Sciences program with Honors Specialization in Physiology. He then attended medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan where he served as the community clinic coordinator and president for the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association. Throughout undergraduate and medical education, he has led numerous medical relief missions to underserved areas of the Phillpines collaborating with local doctors and nurses to provide free medication and treatment to those who required it greatly. Currently, his clinical interests include Emergency and Consult/Liason Psychiatry and he aspires to be involved in clinical teaching in the future. In 2019, he has been the recipient of the Wayne State School of Medicine Resident Teaching Award and also placed second in poster presentations at the annual Michigan Psychiatric Society meeting.
